Admission Arrangements 2019/20 entry

Please click here to for our Admissions Policy 2019-20.

Between 16 October and 1 December 2017 all admissions authorities for schools in York jointly conducted a consultation on admission arrangements for the admissions rounds for entry in September 2019. The closing date for comments was 01 December 2017. After considering any comments received, the governing body/MAT board has, in its role as an admission authority formally set (‘determined’) these arrangements.

Please follow the link below to view our now determined Admissions Policy. Our published admission number for Reception is 20.

You can also find more documents on the LA website at www.york.gov.uk/admissionsconsultation .

If you wish to object to these arrangements, you should do so in writing, on or before 15 May 2018, at:

Admissions to Reception

Each academic year, there are places for 20 children in Reception. The Admissions Policy on this page explains more about how making an application works. As well as understanding the process, we realise that parents and children like to visit school, see what we do and get a feel of what it is like to be part of our school family.

You are very welcome to visit us or contact us to ask any questions that you might have. You can contact us on (01904) 551650 or email us at heworth.primary@york.gov.uk.

Please have a good look on our website to see some of the things that we do. Another way to find out more about the school is to read our latest Prospectus, SIAMS Report and OFSTED Report.

Admissions to other year groups

Sometimes, due to family relocations, we have spaces in other year groups within school. If you have a child in any year group and you are considering sending them to Heworth, please contact the school for more information and to see if there is a place available.
